Rollclip Community Guidelines

Introduction

Rollclip exists to help people share moments in a thoughtful, respectful, and human way. We encourage authentic expression, creativity, and connection while protecting safety, privacy, and dignity for everyone.

By using Rollclip, you agree to follow these Community Guidelines and our Terms of Service. Violations may result in content removal, account restrictions, or permanent removal from the platform.

These guidelines apply to all content and behavior on Rollclip, including content created or modified using artificial intelligence.

Core Principles

We design and moderate Rollclip around four values.

Authenticity

Be real. Do not impersonate others, misrepresent yourself, or deceive people.

Safety

No content or behavior that puts people at risk of physical, psychological, or emotional harm.

Privacy

Respect personal boundaries, consent, and private spaces.

Dignity

Treat everyone with respect. Harassment, hate, and demeaning behavior are not allowed.

AI Content Policy

If Rollclip includes generative AI features, the following rules apply.

Allowed

  • Creative edits that are clearly playful or artistic.
  • AI assistance that does not deceive people about identity or real-world events.
  • Disclosures or labels when AI is used to materially alter reality (recommended).

Not Allowed

  • Using AI to impersonate real people or brands in a deceptive way.
  • Deepfakes used to harass, defame, or mislead.
  • Using AI to create content that violates any other Rollclip policy.

Enforcement

We may remove AI-generated content and take account action, including termination for severe abuse.

Child Safety

Protecting minors is a top priority. Violations may result in immediate account removal and reporting to authorities where required.

Allowed Examples

  • Family moments shared with trusted circles without identifying details.
  • Educational content about child safety and prevention.

Not Allowed Examples

  • Any sexual content involving minors or content that sexualizes minors.
  • Grooming, predatory behavior, or requests to move conversations off-platform for exploitation.
  • Sharing a minor's private information such as school, address, or schedules for harmful purposes.

Enforcement

We may remove content, restrict features, or take account action depending on severity, intent, and context.

Prohibited Content and Behavior

Harm, Violence, and Extremism

  • Threats, incitement, or glorification of violence.
  • Terrorist, violent extremist, or hate organizations.
  • Content that poses an imminent risk to human life.

Hate and Harassment

  • Content that attacks or demeans people based on protected characteristics.
  • Bullying, stalking, or repeated harassment.
  • Encouraging others to target or shame someone.

Sexual Exploitation and Minors

  • Any sexual content involving minors is strictly prohibited.
  • No exploitation, trafficking, or coercion.
  • No threats to share intimate images.

Privacy Violations

  • Sharing images of people in private spaces without consent.
  • Sharing private personal information, including doxxing.
  • Recording or distributing content without permission where privacy is expected.
  • If someone asks you to remove a post featuring them, you must do so.

Illegal or Regulated Activities

  • Content that promotes or facilitates illegal drugs, weapons, trafficking, or crimes.
  • Unauthorized gambling, alcohol, or tobacco promotion.
  • Fraud, scams, or deceptive schemes.

Misinformation and Deception

  • Harmful medical or public safety misinformation.
  • Deliberately manipulated or misleading content meant to deceive.
  • Impersonation of people, brands, or organizations.
  • Spam, fake engagement, or follower-growth schemes.

Sensitive Content and Public Interest

In limited cases, Rollclip may allow content that would otherwise be restricted when it is clearly shared for newsworthiness, education, or public interest.

We weigh the public value of the content against the risk of harm.

Educational, Documentary, Scientific, and Artistic Context

Some sensitive topics are important. In limited cases, content may be allowed when clearly shared for educational, documentary, scientific, or artistic purposes.

We look for clear context in captions or framing, no glorification of violence or exploitation, minimized graphic detail, appropriate warnings where supported, and extra caution when minors are involved.

Never Allowed

  • Child sexual exploitation (zero tolerance).
  • Content intended to recruit for extremist causes.
  • Content posted for sadistic pleasure or to humiliate victims.

Elections Misinformation

We prohibit misinformation that misleads people about civic participation.

Allowed Examples

  • Opinion or commentary that does not mislead about how to vote.
  • Reporting on election events with reputable sourcing.

Not Allowed Examples

  • False claims about how, when, or where to vote.
  • Deceptive claims that undermine participation.
  • Impersonation of election officials or government agencies.

Harassment and Bullying

If someone blocks you, do not contact them from another account.

Allowed Examples

  • Criticism of ideas or public work without targeting private individuals.
  • Blocking, muting, and disengaging.

Not Allowed Examples

  • Targeted harassment, stalking, or repeated unwanted contact.
  • Sharing private information to intimidate or shame.
  • Coordinated harassment or dogpiling.
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery used to humiliate or threaten.

Nudity and Sexual Content

We aim to keep Rollclip safe for a broad audience.

Allowed Examples

  • Non-sexual nudity in artistic or educational contexts where legal and appropriately labeled.
  • Genuine, nonprurient breastfeeding and childbirth contexts.

Not Allowed Examples

  • Sexual acts, explicit nudity for sexual gratification, or pornography.
  • Sexual solicitation or offering sexual services.
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery or threats to share it.
  • Any sexual content involving minors.

Privacy and Consent

Rollclip is privacy-first by design. There is no public feed by default, and sharing is intended to occur within trusted circles.

You must have permission to share content involving others when they are in private spaces, when moments are sensitive, or when content could reasonably cause embarrassment or harm.

  • Do not share private personal information, including addresses, phone numbers, IDs, or workplace details.
  • Secretly recording or sharing private recordings is not allowed.
  • Extra care is required when posting content involving minors.

Safety Policy

We prioritize fast action on content or behavior that could lead to real-world harm, including credible threats of violence, sexual exploitation, self-harm encouragement, extremist activity, or instructions enabling wrongdoing.

Users have access to safety tools such as blocking, muting, removing people from trusted circles, and reporting content.

If there is an imminent threat to human life, we may preserve information and notify appropriate authorities in accordance with the law.

Suicide, Self-Harm, and Eating Disorders

Allowed Examples

  • Recovery-focused content that encourages help-seeking.
  • Educational content about prevention without graphic detail.

Not Allowed Examples

  • Encouragement or instructions for self-harm.
  • Graphic imagery posted for shock or glorification.
  • Targeting or mocking individuals for self-harm.

Spam, Scams, and Deceptive Practices

Allowed Examples

  • Personal invite links shared with friends when permitted.
  • Transparent promotion of your own product or project within a trusted circle.

Not Allowed Examples

  • Engagement bait, follower-growth schemes, or pay-for-follow promotions.
  • Phishing, impersonation scams, or requests for passwords or verification codes.
  • Get-rich-quick schemes or undisclosed affiliate spam.
  • Malicious links or malware distribution.

External Links

Links must not put people at risk.

Allowed Examples

  • Links to reputable news, documentation, or nonprofit resources.
  • Links to your own website or portfolio when not spammy.

Not Allowed Examples

  • Phishing or malware links.
  • Links facilitating illegal activity, exploitation, or violence.
  • Link shorteners used to obscure harmful destinations.

Enforcement

We use a graduated approach, when possible, but we may act immediately when safety is at risk.

Actions may include content removal, warnings, reduced visibility, temporary suspension, permanent account removal, or referral to law enforcement.

Severe violations such as child sexual exploitation, credible violent threats, sexual extortion, extremist promotion, or instructions enabling violence may result in immediate removal.

Users may appeal enforcement actions through in-app support.

Transparency and Moderation

We aim for moderation that is consistent, understandable, and human. We consider content, intent, context, risk of harm, and whether minors are involved.

AI-generated or AI-edited content is treated the same as other content. Using AI to deceive, harass, or harm is not allowed.

Reports are reviewed as quickly as possible, and we may request additional context when needed.
